Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore

I cheated you out of art on Friday so today I take the first step towards making that up to you. This weekend we attended Kansas City’s 75th annual Plaza Art Fair. This is always an enjoyable and inspiring fair and this weekend’s was not a disappointment. In addition to the most perfect weather imaginable for an outdoor fair, there was a great deal of art to tempt the eye. I will share some of these throughout the next week, or weeks. Today I bring you the art of Mark Orr.

I am sorry. A late night of work combined with multiple computer issues this morning means that you won’t have the normal Friday Favorites post. Dry your eyes my darlings, I know, life is hard.

Take heart my friends, tomorrow is the first day of Autumn. The theoretical beginning of the changing of the seasons, the onset of cooler weather, the emerging of brilliant fall colors as the leaves change. Break out your sweaters, make some hot cocoa, crack open a scary book or put a creepy film in the DVD player and celebrate.

Thursday Thirteen

Do you ever feel obligated to post something? I occasionally have those days where my muse seems to have abandoned me for warmer climes but this is not quite like that. This is one of those weird, in-between days where I really want to post something and have some ideas but am frankly too tired/busy to develop them. I have never done the Thursday Thirteen thing before and I am not doing this as part of the group linking thing. I just decided this would be a nice way to post a number of unrelated things.
