There’s only one more sleep ’til Christmas!
On the eve of Christmas Day I wish each and every one of you a very, merry Christmas. I hope the next few days are filled with wonderful remembrances of Christmases past and with the creation of new memories in Christmas present.
We will spend the morning cleaning and decorating Christmas cookies (including some Dalek shaped ones for our Doctor Who loving friends) as we get ready to host Christmas Eve at our house. Stockings will be opened and Mary and I will celebrate our Christmas together later in the evening.
Tomorrow we will get together with my siblings and their families at my parents’ house to celebrate Christmas and tomorrow night we get to have our niece spend the night! 🙂
Here’s wishing you all a special Christmas week…
and hope that this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special will make up for the disappointing end to Season 8.
What are your plans for the week?
That is some awesome art. Merry Christmas!
It is fun, isn’t it? Merry Christmas to you as well.
Merry Christmas, Carl! Sounds like you have an awesome couple of days ahead of you. And thanks for the art, love it!
Thanks Tammy, one more week to go. Hope you had a great Christmas.
Merry Christmas and lots of nice presents 🙂
In Poland Christmas Eve’s dinner is the most important one. Traditionally a special meat-free menu is served, there should be an extra plate for an unexpected traveller (sadly there was never any) and of course… there is Christmas tree and presents underneath it. An evening of eating and drinking could end with a special midnight mass.
In an hour we will have the dinner with my close relatives. I’m not exactly sure about the plans for first and second day of Christmas, but we will have some family gatherings around the table (this time with meat).
That sounds like a great tradition, Kama, and a great time. I hope all the days of Christmas were special.
Yup, I digged into books. 😉
Nothing spectacular. Alas.
Sometimes that is a good thing, Paul. Hope the final days of 2014 are relaxing.
Ooooh, looks like some of the reindeer got hurt! Now I’m sad.
You’re one of those who get multiple Christmases, something I’ve never had. So Christmas eve for us is have Christmas dinner – ham, potatoes, salad, cranberry, cheesecake or pie – then just watch a Christmas movie (this year it’s Christmas Carol w/ George C. Scott), have a toddy and hit the hay. In the morning, we open stockings, have breakfast (waffles), open presents and then probably take a walk, read, have leftovers and nap. Enjoy, Merry Christmas, hope you get wonderful gifts and have time to remember the reason for the season…
Those reindeer…Santa needs to keep them out of the eggnog!
Having more than one Christmas is fun, and necessary with extended family becoming ever more extended. I’m looking forward to one day adding grandchildren to that mix.
Your Christmas celebration sounded wonderful!
Hope you and yours have a fantastic few days. Happy Christmas!
Thanks Darren, its been great so far. Hope you are having a great time too.
Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas day with your extended family. Today we are having my husband’s Christmas spaghetti and movies. One Chrismassy movie, Bell, Book, and Candle, and then The Rocketeer.
I haven’t seen either of those films for a looooong time. Hope you enjoyed them, and the meal, and that your 2014 is ending well.
All the best to you and your family on this green Christmas Day! There’s not a snowflake in sight here in Western New York. Very unusual! Hope you were on Santa’s Good List!
Thanks George. It has been a weird late Autumn, start to Winter with no real snow to speak of. Hopefully we’ll have some of the white stuff in January. I like snowy winters.
Merry Christmas Carl! I hope you had a wonderful day! Did you enjoy Doctor Who? I did! The jokes at the beginning were really flying and my husband and I couldn’t stop laughing.
And to you and yours, Stefanie. I did enjoy the Doctor Who Christmas Special. It redeemed, to some degree, the final episode, which I was not happy with.
