My Favorite Short Fiction of 2013

shortfictionbestof

It is that time of year when folks all over the ‘net begin talking about their favorites of the previous year. For my final 2013 Short Fiction Friday post on SF Signal I begin my own foray into “Best of 2013” posts by examining the 4.5 and 5 star rated works of short fiction I’ve read and reviewed on the site over this past year.

It was fun to go back and re-read my reviews for these stories. I was pleased that I was able to call to mind details of each story and reminisce about my experience reading them. I would be thrilled if you took the time to go over there and share your thoughts about any of the featured stories and/or relate any positive experiences that you have had with short fiction over the past year.

Stay tuned here for “Best Of” posts covering novels as well as film and television. I love this time of year and look forward to reading your round-ups of your favorite viewing and reading of the year.

  1. Excellent, just excellent. Your reviews are so good you should be compensated for them. I guess praise will have to do for now. Happy 2014 to you.

    1. Oh no, please send compensation. πŸ™‚ Just kidding. Thanks Richard. 2014. Geez. Can it be that close already? I’m starting to get a bit freaked out by the rapid passage of time.
