Easter is a month away, but just to get you in the spirit of Peter Cottontail’s impending approach I submit to you this link found by our own James D. (Turn on your sound for the full effect)
And just so you cat lovers won’t feel rejected, here’s this.
Wow, I’m dumbfounded. A while ago, it was all the rage to sup to tip jars on a web page for whatever reason. I’m a loser, give me a dollar. I’m broke, give me two.
This has to be the most clever I’ve seen in a while. The amazing part is that it’s working!
I know, I told James that we need to use our creativity to score some cash….maybe I could appeal to the masses to support my desire to sit on my butt all day and read comics….
What a crock! Either raise animals for meat, or keep them as pets.
Don’t hold them hostage. Poor Toby!
See, Mary? This guy’s “hook” (to use the advertising vernacular) has got you. You must contribute to his cause to save Toby.
Carl, you’re into comics? I’m a recent convert. Have you read Y?
Oh, duh. Now I see the comic links in the right column. Dumb question!
Yes, I have read Y…the first 20 issues or so. Comics are great! There’s some amazing stuff out there that people don’t know exists. I need to add to my links but am waiting until I get pages set up for them.
Y is the bomb! It’s such an interesting idea. My roomie (who remains blogless, let’s all laugh) got me into them.
Have you read Preacher? How about The Walking Dead?
Never read Preacher. I’m reading the Walking Dead faithfully…what a great take on Zombies…puts all these recent Zombie movies to shame. My friend Scott got me into comics several years ago by introducing me to Sandman which was the beginning of my love of comics and zealous devotion to Neil Gaiman.
Cool. But I have to take slight issue with you on your zombie comment. I feel that there’s been a couple really good efforts in retelling the zombie move. 28 Days Later I thought was great. And Dawn of the Dead was pretty consistent too. I won’t even entertain the thought of including Resident Evil with the lot.
See, I enjoyed Res Evil. Dawn of the Dead was entertaining but not that great of a story. I did enjoy 28 days later as well. I just think the story line of Walking Dead is better than the story line in most zombie movies…maybe because there isn’t a story line in most zombie movies! 🙂
Don’t be putting down my Resident Evil movies, Robert!
Since all this comic talk is boring me I thougt I would mention that Julie and I both liked the stars for the background in your stories and sidebar better.
Okay, just for you and maybe only for awhile…I’m thinking its too busy.
Jimmy-boy also likes firetrucks and marshmallows. I wouldn’t take him for gospel.
Nah, I’m kidding. The stars are the shiz. I also like the galaxy background behind the tertiary planetoids.
I think the contrast is too low between your text color and the background color.
Is it just me?
I had a problem with my tertiary planetoids once and had to have them removed….
That explains alot. . .
Funny! 🙂
