Product Endorsement

Remember when you were young and it was so important what brand of clothes you were wearing, whether you were a Coke or Pepsi drinker, what kind of shoes were on your feet, etc…….who am I kidding, to some degree we still define ourselves by the things we wear, the things we own, and the products we use. To that end I’m here to declare my loyalty to Wrigley’s Extra Cool Green Apple Sugarfree Gum:

I just tried this the other day and it is ‘the bomb’…’it rocks’….’it’s the bee’s knees’…’the cat’s meow’…and all that other hip vernacular that today’s teens use. This should be the gum-of-choice for every Stainless Steel Rat and I’m here to declare that Wrigley’s Extra Cool Green Apple Sugarfree Gum is the Official Gum of Stainless Steel Droppings dot com

  1. I always thought Big Red was cool when I was little b/c Osborn’s always chewed it.

  2. I haven’t tried the new flavor, but that gum really does last an extra, extra, extra long time.

See, I had to put in as many extras as in the commercial…

  3. Fruit Stripes!!!! I loved that when I was a kid…probably still do except the flavor doesn’t seem to last.
The Cool Green Apple stuff seems to last a good, long time. Very sweet the first few chews but then it settles down to a nice, *cool* green apple taste.

  4. Sorry to hear this. When my children were little I banned apple gum for the house it smelled so bad.

  5. I’m not a gum chewer, but I may actually have to try this.

I had braces in high school and one of the (many) rules was NO CHEWING GUM. Considering I wanted those gone by H.S. graduation, I broke the gum habit. For life.

  6. I tried it today, and it was good except…
It reminds me of a Jolly Rancher or those caramel sour apple suckers.
I just have to say gum should not taste like candy and vice versa. Maybe
    that’s why I don’t care for mints.
