Neil Gaiman has posted that Mirrormask finally has a release date of September 30th, 2005. As I’ve posted before this is the ‘sequel in spirit’ to Labyrinth written by Neil Gaiman, animated by Dave McKean, and produced by the Jim Henson company.
There is a new trailer up for a limited time here. I recommend the fullscreen Quicktime version.
The official site, which is a very cool website, is here.
I can’t wait! A new Neil Gaiman novel and a movie out in the same month! September is going to be a lot of fun!
If this doesn’t get a South African release, you WILL find me sleeping outside your front door. Don’t worry, I don’t need to be invited in or anything. Just some water and maybe a blanket will suffice…………
forgotten, if this soes open there, you wouldn’t even have to sleep on the front porch, i know i have an extra couch….
thanks for the info carl – i must seeeeeee – to see both Neil Gaiman’s and Dave McKean’s visions come alive is going to be life changing event, i can feel it….
ok, i can’t type… that should be “if this doesn’t open there”
Whoa, totally weird.
yay a release date! thanks carl v.
been following mirrormask for awhile…dave mckean has to be my alltime favorite artist, & neil gaiman is such a story-teller.
indeed september will be a good month. it’s almost as good as Charlie & the Chocolate Gactory coming out the same weekend as the new Harry Potter book.
thank god for media, i’d go bonkers here without it.
FACTORY. Charlie & the Chocolate FACTORY. sorry, i think it’s the sunburn…
when is the harry potter book/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory due out?
jenn see luv, this typing thing is the bane of both of us.
Harry Potter releases on July 16
& Charlie on friday July 15th. anyone not wishing to converse with a 3rd grade mentality should totally avoid me that weekend. i’ll be about 11. okay, maybe 5th grade…
Jeff’s wife Keri and their daughter are going to the big release party for Harry Potter at either Barnes and Noble or Borders…can’t remember which. She was sewing costumes for them while I was over there a few weeks ago.
Saw a different trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Batman tonight and it looks so great! I’m glad that kid from Finding Neverland is the lead child, I loved him in FN.
Gaiman’s site was updated with the news that Mirrormask looks like its initial release will only be in 13 major markets. We Gaiman fanatics may need to plan a road trip in September!
