“There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been!”
~Percy Bysshe Shelley
I am a decorator, a nest maker. I like my space, whether it be in my office or in my home to reflect me (and in the case of my home, my wife and I). I want it to be a place that is not filled with books and bric-a-brac for the sake of taking up space but instead is a reflection of passions and interests while being a calming, relaxing environment.
To that end I like to make small season changes to various spaces, and my favorite seasons to do this are autumn and the winter/Christmas season.
I do not know when it is ‘officially’ time to start decorating for autumn. For me it is when I start to have that autumn feeling, even just an inkling of it. Regardless of temperature or the date on the calendar, when I decide it is time I begin to create autumn, both in my home and in my heart.

The first of many local festivals began this past Labor Day weekend. Saturday found us making our annual pilgrimage to our favorite booths. Turkey legs, home made fried chips, warm pretzels, kettle corn, and cinnamon covered pecans were sampled liberally. In addition to food, we brought home some things to help inspire this season’s autumn decorating, including the item pictured in the opening of the post.
My lovely wife surprised me with the crow tag pictured above. My mother noticed me eyeing the painted gourds, by Kathy Taylor and later in the evening I found this beauty (pictured below) hidden on my bedroom bookshelf. They are both currently hanging on what will eventually be my Halloween tree. Thanks Mom and Mary!!!

While at that same booth I could not resist these Christmas tags. Before we know it we’ll be on to that season. But not yet. There is still thankfully a long time to savor autumn. But they are great though, aren’t they?

The conceit of doing a time specific reading event like the R.I.P. Challenge is that while I can proclaim it to be the perfect season for thrilling and chilling reading, not everyone who participates is able to experience the challenge in true autumn fashion. Not everyone will be experiencing leaves changing colors and cooling temperatures. What I admire about all of you is that you choose to participate and create autumn for yourselves regardless of whether or not you can look out your window and see the season. To that end I decided that my first giveaway for the R.I.P. IV Challenge will be these lovely crows.

I picked up a set for myself last year and they have inhabited my small Edgar Allan Poe shrine ever since. They are not that big, two to three inches tall at most, but they are a fun part of my decor and I am happy to be able to share a set with one lucky reader.
All you need do to qualify is to leave a comment in the comments section indicating that you would like to be included in the drawing. I will draw for a winner from all comments received by Saturday, Sept. 12th at 11:59 p.m., CST. I will announce the winner in my Short Story Sunday post.
So, how about it? Are you a seasonal decorator? Is there something specific about the fall that you like to see reflected in your personal space, be it your room, home, office? I have only made a few seasonal changes, but more will certainly be on the way! Best of luck to everyone who enters.
Yes, I am a seasonal decorator. More so in the fall/winter than any other season. Since I have young boys, I love to decorate for Halloween and Christmas. We would love to add the crows to our Halloween display (full of animated houses/figures, etc), so please enter me into the drawing!
Oh I love that first crow! Funny, I bought a witch today. I can’t wait to get my fall decor out of storage.
Include me please!
Great decorations! lease include me in the drawing! I am definitely a seasonal decorator, especially for autumn and Christmas!
Oh I love the cat one!
I haven’t been a seasonal decorator in the past, but since we moved out of our apartment into our house I think I might get into a bit of fall decorating. There are so many fun decorations, especially as this is our first halloween in our house 🙂
I already have a black cat (called Midnight) but think a few Black Cat ornaments might be in order 🙂
Aww, what neato decorations!!
Please include me! I am a huge seasonal decorating fiend, and have big plans for my cube this Halloween season! 🙂
I would love to be included in the drawing. Like you, Autumn is my favorite season. There’s just something about cool and crisp winds, brown and turning leaves, and grey and bleak skies that I long for throughout the year. Finally becoming a homeowner, this will be my first year to decorate my house, and it should be exciting (my wife is always eying things for the house). I’m glad I live in Kentucky, where I get to experience all the true wonders of Fall.
Loved your post with the pics of such great finds! I love going to local festivals with arts and crafts. I live in South Florida which is not known for its changing leaves and snow covered grounds. And since I love autumn/winter months more then summer I am missing out on quite a lot. However, decorating for the holidays definitely makes up for that loss. I would love to be included in your drawing. I could use those lovely crows to help liven up my workspace. Cheers!
We are seasonal decorators, especially fall since it’s our favorite time of year (we were married in fall). I especially love the colors, the browns, burgandy, yellow, oranges, greens. Our reception was decorated with duck decoys, hay bales, and fall flowers – if that tells you anything. 🙂
I absolutely LOVE fall! I am fortunate to live in an area of the country where we do experience the four seasons, so I enjoy the cooler weather, the fashions that coordinate with the cooler weather (sweaters and turtlenecks become my uniform), the deep, rich colors, the satisfying comfort food — EVERYTHING!
I am hoping to attend a fall craft show this coming weekend and would like to find a few “Poe-like” decorations to add to my book nook.
I would love to be entered in your prize drawing!
that crow tag is something special ;-D halloween and xmas are the only holidays i usually decorate for. the rest of the year is barren.
Oh wow!!! I love, love, love the crows. I am a seasonal decorator for only part of the year. In September I put out a bunch of fall and Halloween stuff — a lot of it folk art (like you’ve shown here). Those items (scarecrows, pumpkins, witches, and such) stay up until Dec. 1. Then I put out snowmen — all kinds. They stay up until March 1. After that, I don’t decorate again until the following September.
I have no idea why I never stumbled across a spring or summer theme that I liked. Or maybe folk art is so well suited to fall and winter. Anyway, thanks so much for your generous giveaway.
I have been buying more Halloween decorations each year. Soon they may outnumber my all the time decor!
Please enter me in the prize drawing.
I’m good about switching up the decor in my home from about October-February. My kids always let me know when it is time to get out the autumn decorations! Those crows are adorable. Please enter me!
I like to bring things from the outside in. In spring that’s flowers, in fall that’s gourds. These crows are darling. They would perch on my shelf.
As you said, it’s not fall like everywhere and in So. Calif, it is still about 95 degrees but in the morning, I feel a slight change and I do notice a change in the quality of light. I decorate when I feel that change so this weekend I will probably put my fall stuff out.
Fall is my favorite season of the year. It always has been and I’m not sure if it’s because my birthday is in October. There are pictures of me as a toddler loving life and playing in the leaves and that’s how I think of fall.
As I’ve gotten older, the downside of fall is that my brain doesn’t like receiving less sunshine. So, one thing I always bring out as fall draws near is my natural light lamp. Unfortunately, this is nearly the only decorating I do. I aspire to be better every year, but every year I realize I didn’t do so well. I have had some help, though. My mother has recently taken up decorative painting and she always gives me fall themed items. I keep them up all year, though. Can I dust them off tonight and call that decorating? LOL!
This is a wonderful, fun contest, Carl. I would be happy to give those crows a home. They would be a nice accent for my Tippi Hedron Barbie. LOL!
We have a rooster on our front porch named Clucky that we decorate for each season. We’ll put Clucky’s witch hat on in early October. Next to Clucky we hang a seasonal wreath on the front door. The fall wreath is giant candy corns.
We totally do it up for Halloween – it’s a favorite – because it’s just not possible to go overboard for Halloween.
Thanks for entering me in the contest!
I love fall and Halloween decorating. Pumpkins, gourds, bales of hay…all of it!!!
Please enter me and thanks so much!
Fall/Winter brings out the seasonal decorator in me. I like pulling out the fall-scented candles, the heavier blankets, more cozy pj’s, and the various items that make me think of fall. I too love to visit the various fall festivals. Probably one of my fave ways to spend a Saturday in October!
My biggest goals for my space for the Fall just revolve around making my apartment cozy, warm, and inviting through textiles and delicious scents.
Meg
I already want to decorate for fall and Halloween but my family tells me it’s too soon. The decorations are in a box in my living room, though. (That’s led to an interesting vlog using our two death dolls…) Hm, maybe I’ll decorate when they’re all gone this week…
I’d love to enter. I absolutely adore these sorts of decorations. amandagignac[at]gmail[dot]com
Carl, This is so generous of you. I am currently reading my first ever Poe stories and so these fellows would fit right in! I would love to be entered in the draw.
I’m not much of a decorator, although when my kids were small I was very big into designing and making their costumes for Halloween and I used to bring in colorful leaves to spread all over flat surfaces for an autumn decoration. They dry out rather rapidly, so I stopped that practice.
When I was a little girl I had two pet crows named Heckle and Jeckle and bear a fondness for this little bird to this day! Please include me in the drawing, thanks!
Holley
I recently bought my first home, and I’m really starting to get into seasonal decorating. My favorite thing to decorate is the dining room table with new linens and dishes and a centerpiece. Also, I have to have seasonally-themed candles to fill the house. I already dragged out my box of fall decorations and I’m ready to go!
I’d love to enter this giveaway! Thanks!
Wow! What a wonderful giveaway! I am a seasonal decorator too, having young children at home kind of makes it mandatory. I’m lucky, the past few days here have been totally autumn –that first little chill in the air is creeping in and I can almost smell it. I’m in Maryland, fall is great here. Thanks for a chance to win those wonderful crows.
I’d love to be included in the drawing! We were just discussing at my house how it’s time to start decorating for autumn. I do enjoy autumn decorating, xmas decor, and Easter. I don’t go crazy… just the mantel and the dining room (usually), but it’s nice to celebrate the season. The crows are adorable and are inspiring me to perhaps make some new autumn decor…
I am a seasonal outdoor decorater, I don’t usually have things in the house that I change around. The exception being Christmas. My porch and steps get the full-on treatment though and I actually enjoy decorating for Fall/Halloween even more than Christmas. I suppose because I can start putting stuff out right after Labor Day and keep it up until after Thanksgiving!
I’m not really a seasonal decorator but I do love all things corvidae so please, please count me in!
Count me in on the crows! Although in my house they would be year round decor. Most of my regular decor would probably be considered “fall”. 😉 I’m less of a seasonal decorator and more of a seasonal “scent”-er. Right now it’s spice smells! Mmm …
I would LOVE to be included in the drawing. You always have the best giveaways Carl. Happy Autumn!
I love these crows 😀 Please enter me into this givaway.
Thank-you Carl, for this awesome giveaway 😀
I am a seasonal decorator, and think those little crows would be absolutely darling in my home.
Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
I would love to be included in the drawing
thanks
Mel
I love the Crows…they always remind me of haunting books, music. The fall is my favorite time as well. Im not a big into the chessy Halloween decor, but I like the fall items and the crows really do rock!! This is a great contest!!
I love to decorate for fall, it is my favorite time of year. Even during my 5 years of Arizona exile I put out my scarecrow and pumpkin collections. Now that I’m back in Utah, it will be fall inside and out! Please include me in your crow drawing; they would add just the right touch to my home.
Yep, we’re seasonal decorators. With fall and Christmas being the biggies. Though we often leave the Christmas tree up and fill it with just heart ornaments through Valentines Day. Those crows really are absolutely gorgeous! You know, I think tomorrow should be my day to dig out the fall boxes…take a little of the sting out of back-to-school day.
Awww…and what a sweet thing for you mom to do…that gourd is so cool! And so is the little crow tag. You know, you not only have me wanting to dig out the decorations, you’ve definitely got me wanting to craft, too!
I collect owls and I love the color orange — my home is perpetually decorated with a Fall decor… Crows would go great with the owls!
My wife and I love to decorate to match the season. Please sign me up.
I’m so glad to find another seasonal decorator! I change with the seasons/holidays, and everyone I know makes fun of me!
I would love to be included in the drawing.
Oh please include me! I am a big Xmas decorator, but since we live on a private lane and get absolutely NO trick-or-treaters, I don’t do much for Halloween. I know! Boo me!
Autumn is my favorite time of year — the crisp air, the chill, the decorations. I love it! I also love Christmas w/ all of it’s beauty & decorations.
I inherited the seasonal decorating gene from my mother. I usually don’t start yet for fall, however, because we generally have a long Indian summer in my part of the Pacific Northwest. It’s been very chilly of late, though, so I predict autumnal colors and splashes of fall decor will begin creeping out.
Please enter me!
Oh, include me! I love to decorate for fall, even more than for Christmas. But then Halloween is my favorite holiday, so. 😉
I was going to say that I’m not a seasonal decorator, but on giving ii some thought, I think I may be slightly so. At the start of autumn I like to give the whole house a good clean and declutter. I tackle the house room by room and at the beginning of October I usually have a huge bag of stuff to give away to charity (the mystery is how we manage to fill the bag every year!). Christmas of course demands seasonal decorations, some of which have been hanging around since I was a little girl. At the start of spring, I dig out my vases and the whole house smells of fresh flowers picked form my garden. It’s my favourite time of the year 🙂
I love the crows and I would very much like to be included in the draw.
I’m not a crazy seasonal decorator (like my mother!), but I do like to add small touches like autumn scented candles, pumpkins, and a few cat and witch mantle pieces. By the way, I’ve started reading my first book for the RIP challenge – Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge. Oh, how I love fall!
I’m a Halloween girl. One fall while shopping for Halloween decorations I came across these three skeletons doing the see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil poses. I just loved it because I already had monkeys, turtles, and pigs in the same pose. Those “halloween decorations” went up on my shelf and have stayed there ever since. I also have a little ceramic pumpkin, a skull that looks like it’s screaming, and a paper mache bloody mask sitting in my office at work. It’s not particularly fall, but it is Halloween, and all of these decorations are up year round!
I’d love to be in the drawing.
I would like to be entered in this drawing. I really like the handmade tags and the painted gourds are beautiful.
I don’t really decorate for the fall season but last year me and my co-worker, who shared an office together went all out and decortated our office into a sort of haunted house for Halloween.
I enjoy autumn decorations, even though I don’t usually do too much at home. I like the colours of the leaves, the smell of pumpkins and spice in the air, and love the mornings when you leave for work at 6:45 and can smell and taste the first hint of nippy air. I’d love to be entered in the drawing.
My favorite is the first crow, the painted gourd, and the christmas tags (can you use that for bookmark too?). Heck, I like everything here! I’d love to be entered for the drawing please. The crows would be nice on my desk 🙂
Fall is without a doubt my favorite season! The crisp clean feel of early mornings and the turning of the leaves….ahhh.
I work in a small public library where we are going to do a display for Halloween dedicated to old Edgar himself(king of all things creepy)…what a great home for a crow!
I’ve never ever been a seasonal decorator, but after reading your explanation I do understand the rationale.
Sounds like fun! Count me in. Even if I’m celebrating September with daffodils and tiny leaves unfurling on the Tortured willow tree outside my upstairs window.
I taught ‘Crime Fiction’ for years and always started with Poe’s ‘Murders in the Rue Morgue’. This was presented building on a previous year’s work, which included an introduction to ‘The Raven’ and the Halloween special of the Simpson’s featuring Bart flapping madly around the study.
A murder of crows. I did like that idea.
Having lived most of my life in a country with no seasons (we really only had one season in Singapore – constant heat and humidity), the idea of seasonal decorating is somewhat new to me. Your post just made me realise this will be my very first autumn/Halloween in America!
Yes! Please include me in the drawing as well.
As much as I miss living in Hawaii, living in tropical climes has given me an appreciation for the changing seasons now that I’m on the east coast. I have found my Halloween/fall decorating to be even more fun than Christmas – mainly because it lacks the frenetic feeling that the holiday season can bring, as much as I try to plan and remain mellow. This year will be our second annual Halloween party, and I’m very excited about that!
Please throw my name in the hat.
Are you a seasonal decorator? YES but mostly Christmas.
I do have pumpkins (some my SIL made me out of orange dryer vent hose!) that I like to put up in late September and then leave up until after Thanksgiving. Same with my leaves wreath. I also some some school-theme stuff just for September.
I guess the school stuff goes up after labor Day then later I get out the leaves and pumpkins. October gets ghosts, witches and black cats then most of those are traded out for turkeys in Nov. I think the crows could stay out until I clean up for Christmas stuff and they’d go great with my scarecrow!

Oh, they all speak to me and I could even find a place here in my home or at work… love them all… please enter me
It’s starting to change seasons here in Upstate NY and our flags and fall decorations are starting to emerge from the basement and garage. Every fall our family takes a trip further up north to go apple picking and buy cider donuts and pumpkins and have a last picnic before it gets too cold. Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year.
I would love to be entered in your drawing. Thanks!
I love fall, although I don’t decorate for it. One of the things I kind of hate about living in the Bay Area is how much there isn’t a fall. It’s September & it was 76 & sunny today. I’m just waiting on the rain, frankly.
I am homesick in the spring for Memphis, where I lived until I was 13. It is a city full of dogwoods & crepe myrtle & redbuds (the only good gift of Boss Crump to the city) & spring just doesn’t seem the same anywhere else.
For fall, I miss New Mexico, where I went to college & grad school. Fall in New Mexico is amazing – crisp air, turning trees, & everywhere the smell of green chiles roasting. I keep trying to get back there – maybe when I retire.
In any event, I also love crows so I would love to be entered into your drawing. If you like crows you should definitely read Someplace to Be Flying by Charles de Lint – the best crow book ever!
Thanks for the giveaway & whatnot. I’m shamelessly reveling in your challenge!
chaoticcompendiums at yahoo dot com.
We have a large hand-painted version of your Christmas tags that we have hung up around Thanksgiving for years. It’s one of the kids’ favorite decorations…and mantras.
I am definitely a seasonal decorator. Those two crows would look really good with our gargoyle. We named him Garlic. I would really like to be entered into the drawing. Thanks!
What a neat giveaway! Please put my name in the hat! 🙂
I had the first feeling of autumn today, and I am so excited as it is my favorite, favorite, favorite season by far. I love the smell, the weather, the crispness, the food, the holidays… just about everything.
Being at college makes it a little bit difficult to decorate, but my housemates and I definitely make an effort. There are pumpkin lights and an awesome stuffed owl figurine (well, I think it’s awesome. My housemates may argue against that.) There are fresh, carved pumpkins and a halloween tree standup.
It’s not much, but it works! We definitely get the feeling. Thank you!

Please throw my name in too for this fun drawing!
I never used to be, but since my kids were born I definitely am a seasonal decorator. The kids wouldn’t have it any other way!!
I, unfortunately, am not a seasonal decorator, although I would totally love to be one. It’s on my list of things to do. Maybe this year will be the year I pick up a few things…
I would love to be part of this drawing! Those crows are too cute!
What a neat giveaway idea!! Please enter me in the drawing–I’d love to think of the fun I’ve had participating in the RIP Challenge every time I looked at them:)
As for seasonal decorating, I have a few things that have travelled with me from childhood, to college, to my first home, to our newest home with our children finally old enough to enjoy the holidays. One thing that is very promiment in my neck of the woods is a cinammon broom. I’ve oddly enough never had one, and look forward to purchasing one this year!
Happy Decorating!
I mentioned at work today that I had already started thinking about decorating for Christmas – my favorite season to decorate. As my daughter gets older I seem to decorate for fall less and less. That is something I definitely need to change. Those lovely crows would make a great start.
Please include me in your drawing.
Yes, please, put my name in the hat. I have crows all over my house and these two would fit right in!
Hurrah for Autumn! I lit the fire for the first time the other day, and came dangerously close to wearing a scarf on Monday. Great post, I love your decorations! Please add me to the draw 🙂
I used to decorate WAY more than do now. I just don’t have the luxary of time any more. I try to hit all the after-holiday sales, because I like a bargain! Hopefully, this year will be better. It’s about time for our annual apple picking trip to Tanner’s farm, where we will get tons of apples, pumpkins, and other festive items.
I’d love a Crow to go with it!!
I am not a seasonal decorator as I am just too messy and untidy. I keep meaning to be better and making the same resolutions. I love the cat gourd and think the crows would help give me the push to get our flat in more order. I noticed the leaves changing colours on my drive to visit a client yesterday and it made me smile. Autumn is my favourite time of year, it’s the most beautiful and comforting somehow. Plus it’s my birthday (30 shush) on Friday…
I am not a seasonal decorator but I like to see what other people are doing. Autumn and Winter are my preferred reading season. Then you find me often on our sofa with a cup of tea, cookies and a pile of books.
i haven’t been much of a seasonal decorator these past couple of years, but in college i loved decorating for halloween. i am more a seasonal cook. that makes me feel more connected to the seasons. in autumn i like to buy pumpkins and place them on display. i get very excited when i start seeing pumpkins appear at the market. that’s one of the ways i know autumn has arrived.
i would love to be included in the crow drawing.
I love the cat! And how cool that you decorate a Halloween tree 😀
They would look so great with my copy of Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery. Plus it would nicely set the whole fall mood which we need a lot of help with in South Florida.
The crows are great, I’d love to be included in the draw. I really love the one in the first picture too, but then I do have a thing for pumpkins. I’m mostly a seasonal decorator for fall and winter too. There’s a definite orange theme going on in our living room right now. And my Halloween rat, along with my autumn coloured poppets will have a place of prominence.
Autumn is my favourite season and I’m desperately trying to make the most of the evening light while we still have it! I too love to decorate my house at this time of year, though I tend to collect little fallen pieces of nature (leaves, pine cones…) and venture out with my sketchbook and charcoal, drawing what i see and making rubbings. I also love to bake, especially with autum fruits like apples and blackberries. Then curl up by a warm fire with cake, tea, book and fuzzy cat! Heaven! I tend to have seasonal photos on my desktop screen at work too, my current one shows the very beginning of the leaves turning. I like what you have done, especially decorating the tree, something i do with little lanterns later in october. How the year has gone so fast!
I’d love to enter the giveaway, those crows are lovely and my favourite bird!
I love the tags you found! Those are so cute. No need to enter me in the contest though — as much as I love decorating, I’m sort of at a standstill. We live in a small space and being that it’s not ours I’m sadly not in the mood to decorate. Good luck to the entrants though 🙂
Traditionally we Hindus decorate our homes in Diwali, the festival of lights which falls on October-November. I love to buy knick-knacks for my nephews and nieces. And I like to go for pieces with clean, straight cuts. Maybe it is the mathematician in me.
However, I also collect owls, crows and tortoises. I used to collect elephants but not any more. The collection got out of hand and I gave away a lot of it.
You can count me in!
Yay! I would love to enter this drawing because these are SOOOO CUTE! I haven’t had much of an opportunity to decorate seasonally because I’ve been such a nomad for most of my adulthood, but now that I’m settled, I would love to decorate more. These seeem like the perfect place to start! Thanks, Carl!
I love your crow Carl!! It’s fantastic! I like all the stuff really. I wish we had a cool art fair like that here. I’m a huge seasonal decorator, especially during the autumn and winter months, but haven’t been able to really get into it for the last four years because we’ve been renting one house to the next while our new house is built. But the good news is, we’re moving in (finally!) on September 26th!!! So I’d love to win these crows 😀 They’d look lovely perched on my window 🙂
What an inventive giveaway…would love to add them to my home!
As usual. I am in. 🙂 Do you need asking?
I am the same way – I usually start decorating for fall/Halloween and winter/Christmas early. 🙂 I would love to win these, they’re adorable. 🙂
Fall is comign pretty fast and it is time for us witches to make magic
I’m a seasonal decorator, I think it makes things fun & more enjoyable. I love fall, it is one of my favorite decorating times of the year.
Edgar Allan Poe and Fall just go together. Most of his poems are written around that season and he seemed to love it just as much as we all do. I decorate seasonally. I use gourds, leaf garlands, “fall-themed” angels, and pumpkins to decorate for the fall. It’s my favorite time of year.
GOsh! they are all so CUTE! I wish to enter for this one also but are international entrants ok with you?!
Veens: International is just fine. 🙂
These crows are awesome and would fit well with my fall decor…
Please enter moi…

Please include me in the drawing! My favorite part of fall is the colors of the leaves, and I try to reflect that in my decorating.
I love these they are so cute but not scary. I really do very little for seasonal decoration. But love Halloweeny things. Count me in. I have linked this on my blog. Thanks
I’m not much a seasonal decorator. Heck, I barely manage to put up a Christmas tree. The last few years we’ve just drug in a potted live tree and tossed a few ornaments on it.
What a lovely post and in sync with what I was just thinking today about the different seasons in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Autumn is my favourite season, I love the colours, woolley jumpers, soups, darkening nights and time at home. I’m not much of a seasonal decorator but have pumpkin carving in mind this year!
Please enter me and thank you 0:)
Autumn is my favorite season, with October being my favorite month, so I’m in over-anticipation mode right now. As for being a seasonal decorator, I like to think so, but it’s on a very small scale. This year I believe I will do something a little different and create all my little decorations; I’ve been meaning to paint more and this would be a prime opportunity.
Just looking at the changing leaves in your pictures makes me a little sad, but excited too. I used to live in a state where the season changes were clearly delineated (I especially loved the changing leaves), but since moving to FL, I became painfully aware that it has two seasons and two seasons only–Hot and Hotter–and the only thing that changes color is the sun as it shifts from orange-red to angry-red.
Also, I adore your winter tags (that snowman is adorable!).
I’m not a seasonal decorator in the sense that I love to put spooky things up all year. Gothic and horror and twisted, dark art sums up what my taste in anything and everything is so I have little collectables that are up all year (but probably feel right at home around Autumn 😉 ).
I adore what you have hanging on your tree so far (I hope we get to see more) and I love those Christmas tags. <3
Agh! Too bad I missed this but gratz to the winner/s if Carl has already announced it. ^_^
