Though I am not Triskaidekaphobic, I believe the curse of Friday the Thirteenth is upon me.
I have been noticeably absent from the internet most of this week due to illness and today my image uploading software will not let me in, so there will be no Friday Favorites, at least not today!
Hopefully the situation will rectify itself before the weekend is through. Until then I will continue drinking orange juice and hot tea, snuggling under my comfy blanket, and entertain myself with the post production diaries of King Kong. I watched the production diaries yesterday and they were quite entertaining.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and a spooky Friday the 13th!!! (Stay away from anyone in a hockey mask, however).
Though it may appear to be so, I have not dropped from the face of the earth. We spent a long weekend at the old stomping grounds in Nebraska for my mother’s birthday and just returned yesterday evening.

I received the following letter in my email yesterday. It was so deliciously dramatic and gothic, especially after reading The Thirteenth Tale, that I felt the need to share it here. If you have any mood music you may want to play it to heighten the dramatic effect. The email arrived with the subject heading which is the title of today’s post. Without further ado, the Travails of Lady Mosley:
There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots
may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on
the feelings, as now in October.
~ Nathaniel Hawthorne
