“The eyes are the mirror of the soulâ€Â
~Yiddish Proverb
This post could have just as easily been titled, The Eyes Have It. For Jason Walker, the eye has been a large part of his artistic endeavors for many years, both in his painting, in which his images are incredibly life-like, and in the stop-motion animation film, Madame Tutli Putli, which we will discuss later.
Jason Walker was kind enough to answer some interview questions. Interspersed throughout will be images of his art and later images from Madame Tutli Putli. Let’s get to it.
You may recall that back in December, just prior to the release of her debut novel, The Rest Falls Away, Colleen Gleason was sweet enough to be the first author grilled by your intrepid Stainless Steel Droppings reporter. The Rest Falls Away was a delectable introduction to the world of the Venators. On the eve of the release of book two in the Gardella Vampire Chronicles series, Rises The Night, Colleen Gleason has once again agreed to sit down and answer a few questions. (For background information, I highly recommend reading the first interview)
“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.â€Â
~Ursula K. LeGuin
And to that journey we must now return. The Once Upon a Time Challenge is entering the home stretch. A little less than one month remains in the challenge and in that time there remains many a prize to win: The Gaiman Prize Pack, The O.U.a T. Grand Prize (both mentioned here), and of course the Tiny Stories Contest.
