Awake, sweet muse….

Alas, my muse is at rest and thus today brings no real post. The fact that I am ankle deep in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, am with Elizabeth visiting her ill sister Jane at Netherfield Park, was up late cheering with the crowd watching The Corrs: Live at Landsdowne Road, and have thirteen hours of blissful work ahead of me has no doubt contributed to this state. My muse has been ignored, and now she is in a melancholic sleep. Perhaps she’ll awaken tomorrow for something more substantial. Until then, good reader, have a delightful Tuesday.

  1. With the exception of work, it all sounds like perfectly valid excuses. I’m sure your muse understands…

  2. Work really is a poor excuse, isn’t it Anne…if only that darn muse would do a little housework now and then it would sure help.

  3. What a short post for you, my dear.

What do you think of the characters in Pride and Prejudice compared to the way they are portrayed in the movies?

  4. I’m really enjoying the book but at this point I really like both movies better. I’m not far enough into it to really be in the rhythm of the book though.

  5. Ah, the Corrs. I remember seeing them in the local college gym back before they were famous.
Have to say I’m not really a fan, but that may be overexposure on the radio.

We have a turkey puppet who does kids tv over here, and he has a running joke that the sisters are all in league to prevent Jim Corr being visible in any of their videos. Every time he shows up it’ll either cut away, or one of the others will move to mask him.

  6. With four girls in tow you most definitely have to have a muse, Miss Jules!

True S, too true. I think mine may actually be comatose. I’ve been running on muse-fumes for awhile now.

There’s probably some truth in that Fence, although Jim does show up quite a bit in this video. I had read online that this was one of the most popular of the concert vids cuz it was shot at the end of one of their tours back at home in Dublin and the crowd is very, very into it so its fun. The plus with the concert is that there are numbers that are strictly instrumental and more fiddle based and that is really what I want to hear more of as I can listen to most of their regular music in other ways. Sounds like they are calling it quits now, at least for awhile since they are all having babies and either married or getting married except Andrea.

  7. I’m 100 pages (out of 304) into Jules Verne’s undersea adventure…guess that puts me about hip deep now, or roughly 6,666.7 leagues under the sea.

  8. you’re a luck man, carl v. – for many reasons – no the least of which is that while your muse rests, you also get to rest – my muse never rest so much as hides from me, refusing to talk to me and taunts me with images until i can’t sleep but can’t create – enjoy your rest and i’m glad that you’re feeling better!

    oh and HAPPY TUESDAY!

  9. Thank you Pieces, and congrats on your pregnancy!!! Look forward to reading about the progress on your family blog.

Wishing me Happy Tuesday on a Wednesday, Mysfit, might open up some weird hole in the space time continuum…be careful! I’ve been very neglectful of your work over on the Chaos Journals site and need to get there more often to read the things your Muse taunts you with!

    Happy Hump Day everyone!!!

  10. yeah – I was on the wrong day all morning… it made the day really long –

don’t stress about the chaos journals – my muse has been babbling incoherently lately – so i haven’t worked on anything over there in a while.

  11. Whenever I hear or read the word “babbling” I think of the movie IQ when Meg Ryan’s character babbles..is called on it…and she mutters, “babbling, babbling”. I’m babbling now, aren’t I? šŸ˜‰
