“All the news that’s fit to print”

I was playing around on the internet last night and stumbled across this Googlism site last night. I had heard of this before but never really checked it out. It was fun. I was able to find googlisms for ‘carl anderson’ and for ‘mary anderson’ but other times just had to use first names. The ones for my name that I found most amusing were: “carl anderson is currently the manager of the wyoming department of environmental quality’s hazardous waste permitting and corrective action program”; “…is insane”; “…is an officer charged with the responsibility of leading his unit on a scouting mission to capture prisoners from an experimental rocket”; “…is expecting to make some boats soon”; “…is arrested for her murder”; and “…is is so popular this time of year that people wait as long as four hours for at most a twominute appointment in his cozy”. Mary also had some interesting ones, like: “mary anderson is a well known melbourne harpist”; “…is recognized as the inventor of windshield wipers”; and the scandalous “mary anderson is the woman gave me a hard”….shocking!

Try out your names…may be first or last names only…and comment on the ones you enjoy.

For your education: today in history in 1897 the New York Times began using the slogan above, “all the news that’s fit to print”.

  3. Abby/Mike, you need to try your last name. I didn’t have time to read them all but I liked: “matteo is whacking the playhouse with a plastic golf club” quite a bit…

  4. Okay, “master”, let’s start raking in the dough!

I like “dibben is not just a surfboard it is a piece of art”.

  5. matteo is the son of wealthy italian parents (Mike must be holding out on me)
matteo is not entitled to police protection (What?)
matteo is shaven bald and has slipon pixie shoes (Are you jealous yet?)
matteo is a clone (There’s more of them — Ahhhhhh)

  6. I googlized Vincent and this fits you perfectly:

vincent is full of surprise and inventiveness; his way of playing has you hankering for the next note and smiling to yourself when it arrives

  7. Search for Razz.

“razz is a veteran leader of personal effectiveness seminars”

“razz is way too slow to even drive”

“razz is the light of my life”

    “razz is a hackney gelding”

“razz is very easy going and likes to show off to a crowd”

  8. Aww. shucks Abby…I think ‘vincent is a geek’, ‘vincent is humble arrogance’, ‘vincent is unable to organize his life or set up a new studio’, ‘vincent is a sketchy fellow’, ‘vincent is a mysterious person shrouded in darkness’ are probably more appropriate.

  9. sunshine is gonna get you
    sunshine is huge
    sunshine is a husky
(I was going to put a picture under this but I guess it won’t allow me)

  10. If its not too big, email it to me and I’ll put it on tonight when I get home. -C

  11. Oh man, I’m corroding (according to googlism). That sucks! But your wife “is kicking all your hairy butts again this season”

  12. Carl, I just searched the comments on my blog. I couldn’t find any by you. I think you owe me one, dude!

(redirect this comment to wherever seems relevant)

  13. I’m a little concerned about James. Using googlism as a fortune teller I found out that his wonderful wife, Julie:
is pregnant (something she repeatedly denies 🙂 )
is irate at the pregnancy (what…4 kids is nothing…have more!!!)
is standing on a bathroom scale when suddenly the mass of the earth is magically doubled (she’s a petite flower..how can this be?)
is currently in the studio working on her third project entitled “i’m not lisa”(okay, nothing wrong with that)
I know, nothing too worrysome yet, but here is where I got concerned:
    …is a bad ass
…is taking your name in vain over on general board
…is embroiled in a fight against city hall regarding leaf blowers
…is a frequent guest on fox 35 news and area radio stations as the “etiquette expert” giving etiquette and protocol tips
    AND
…is a super hot redhead featured at busty beauties!
This googlism is like a crystal ball!!!

  14. You are in soooo much trouble… I am so offended. How dare you stick your nose in my personal life like this.

  15. I’m sorry, I was controlled by my googlism tendancies. Googlism says carl is:
    …impaired
…is the monster you portray him to be
    …is a jerk
…is actually an ethereal entity comprised of the alter ego of songwriter/guitarist/singer carl “smokin’ again” vreeland
    and,
…is the oldest of the hot shot tap dancers
…fluent in german and will fulfill all your residential and commercial real estate needs
…is intently studying his own face in a mirror
…is the big one on the right
and carl is, or is doing, a number of things too inappropriate for this blog.
    BUT, carl is:
a tragic hero who rambles through this time period by trying to make things right,
so maybe it will all work out in the end.

  16. Pat is “alive and unbroken”, Perfect” and “currently assigned to ladder co # 12”. Fun. Pat, obviously
