You may or may not recall my posting this picture of my Alice in Wonderland wall from my office at work. I re-post it just to remind you that I am a fan, most especially of the story elements of Alice, and as an introduction to this Once Upon a Time dinnerware that I discovered while browsing the latest issue of Better Homes and Gardens last night.
Star Wars’ Birthday is Coming!!!
It is a little over a month away from the 30th anniversary of a cultural phenomenon that still has tremendous impact three decades later: the theatrical release of Star Wars. May 25th, 1977 will be the actual anniversary date and as that time approaches I will step away from the Once Upon a Time-ish posts for a bit to concentrate on what has undoubtedly been the biggest influence on the things I treasure in the literary and entertainment world. Enough of that, for now. The reason I am mentioning this today is that I wanted to let the rest of you wonderful readers in on a Star Wars related contest.

I am pleased to announce to all that my sister Abby and her husband Mike are expecting! Though it was supposed to be a secret for awhile it took my sister all of 5 minutes to spill the beans at this weekend’s get-together. They are excited, as are we all! This will be their first…if you don’t count their other two babies:
