Today over at SF Signal I review the original short science fiction and fantasy offerings in the current issue of Lightspeed Magazine.  One of the stories is currently up free online with the rest making their way to the website throughout the month.

All four short stories were entertaining, in particular a whimsical story about an Insect and an Astronomer.  Another imagines a future in which travel is instantaneous and examines the way one character remains nostalgic for the old ways of getting from place to place.  There is an A.I. story that references Philip K. Dick and also pays homage to Asimov’s robot short stories.

Be sure to head over and check out the brief, non-spoiler reviews, and if any of the stories catch  your interest, give them a quick read (as they come available) and tell me what you think.

The cover for this issue is by artist Mariusz Siergiejew.
