I’ve spent many years embracing my inner nerd and learning to become proud of the geek that I am. And now my nerd factor has come into question! I was perusing SciFi Chick’s new site and came across the How Nerdy Are You? questionairre (Congrats on getting your own domain name, Angela! 🙂 ). I only scored an 18%! That ranks me in the Not Nerdy category! What gives! I read comics! I’ve been to several comic book and Star Trek conventions! I have several autographed pictures from said conventions! I have a bat-erang signed by Adam West! I own a replica of Han Solo’s blaster and Aragorn’s sword Anduril! I have Robot pics on my wall in my office and a statue of Phoenix from the X-Men on my desk! I have a Wonder Woman tattoo on my butt…..well, that part isn’t true…but I am a NERD! A GEEK! James calls me a FREAK all the time! How is it that I scored so low? Admittedly I could have been less than honest on some of the questions. A few of the questions were concerning the computer I was doing the quiz on and if I had answered using my home PC as an example my nerd score would’ve jumped up quite a bit. I thought for sure I’d be more nerdy than at least 50% of the quiz takers! SciFi Chick scored a 75%! She kicked my nerd butt! I’m pretty depressed about this whole thing. I think I’m going to go home and put on my Spiderman pj’s and watch reruns of the Super Friends…..

I scored a 4 – I knew I was cool; now I have the proof. Or maybe I just know very little
about how computers work and have just a hazy memory of the Periodical Table of
the Elements. I did memorize many of these elements (many years ago) but just to get an A on the
test!
Oops. Can you tell I work in a library? I called it the Periodical Table instead of the
Periodic Table.
The worst thing about my score is that I rated “not a nerd but not too cool either”. If we were in high school I’d be in some kind of No Man’s Land between the Geeks and the Popular Kids where no one would associate with me! I posted on SciFi Chick’s site that its not that I’m not a nerd, cuz I am, its just that I’m a stupid nerd….or one of the “lesser nerds” as Triumph the Wonder Dog would say.
I scored a 6. Probably b/c I like to take notes in different colors.
On SciFi Chick’s site, after the Nerd post there is a link to the Loser test. I scored a 52, in the “normal” range. And I see on this site where the tests are that there is a nerd test coming soon which tells which kind of nerd you are. I should test positive in the comic or book area…maybe in the computer area if its more about games.
Carl, you have to take the test again. I know it’s got to be higher than that.
I did take it again and only scored a 26…like I said, I’m just one o’them ignorant nerds. I’m hoping to make a triumphant comeback on the “coming soon” Nerd Type quiz.
Carl, you would have scored higher if you had one of these for a pet.

You’re right Carl. I didn’t tell you what my nerd score was. The test has to be broken though, because there’s no way that I got a higher score than you.
I can comfortably say, however, that it is lower than what James is reporting.
So basically what you’re saying is that you are testing out at a higher nerd quotient than yours truly…that you are ‘getting your nerd on’…but not quite as much as Senior Jimmy, Lord-of-the-Few-Nerds-or-Not-Nerds-Who-Have-Posted-Here-Thus-Far….
i actually can’t believe i scored as high as 75%! i wasn’t really into science, but more math.. but i’m as science FICTION nerdy as they come. lol
yeah, i can’t wait till they finish what kind of nerd are you.. that’ll be fun.
