Two books down in the Mistborn trilogy and one to go! Its time to get cracking on the group read for The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. This one will be done blog tour style, the same as was done for book two: The Well of Ascension. Following will be the schedule for reading and tour hosts as wel as the signup for those who want to participate and/or be a part of the weekly email reminders. If some part of this posted schedule does not work for you, please let me know.
Thanks everyone, hope you are all geared up to discuss this final chapter in the first Mistborn trilogy.
First, a reminder of how we do this thing:
1. Discussion Host will post questions on his/her site.
2. Discussion participants will flock to that site, answer questions and discuss all in the comments of the Discussion Host site.
3. Discussion participants do not create their own blog post with answers to questions (those answers goes under comments at discussion host site).
Then each discussion participant could do their own wrap up post (a review of the book) [at the end of the group read] if they choose to do so.
And now, The Schedule:
Start Reading Now. (As if you haven’t already. 😉 )
Prologue and Part One Discussion: Saturday, August 4th. Hosted by Michael.
Part Two Discussion: Saturday, August 11th. Hosted by Naithin.
Part Three Discussion: Saturday, August 18th. Hosted by Allie.
Part Four Discussion: Saturday, August 25th. Hosted by Grace.
Part Five and Epilogue Discussion: Saturday, September 1st. Hosted by Sue CCP.
Wrap Up Post (Book Review) if you so desire.
Thank you all for volunteering to do host duties. If things have changed please email me at poegeek (at) gmail (dot) com and I’ll fix it for you.
Apologies (more detailed ones to follow soon) to all for dropping out on the book two read and not keeping up. I’m thrilled that so many of you are still dedicated and are having fun (I certainly hope) discussing Sanderson’s work. I’ll be back in group read mode soon.
Please sign up below:
Count me in! I’m looking forward to seeing how the final book in the trilogy plays out.
Great, thanks Grace!
Yay! I was quite quiet on the previous discussion but I really enjoyed doing this, so I’m in for this one too. I’ll start it as soon as I’m done with my current reading!
Great Kay, I’ll make sure you are on the email list.
I’m in. I accidentally finished book 3, but I would like to follow the discussions and to contribute in the non-spoiler way. Thanks to you and all of the bloggers who are hosting!
“accidentally”… LOL! Gotta watch those books, they can be dangerous.
Oh boy… I’m wanting to fit this in! I said I’d join you when you got to the third book, but I didn’t realize it was NOW! But… since it fits my “Utah author” reading plans for the month, how can I not? 🙂
I might be slow a bit for the first couple weeks, but I’m in too!
Are we pushing back the discussions a week? I still don’t see the first post…
