Every week I feel that I need to reintroduce myself. “Hi, I’m Carl V….I used to be a blogger…”. Rather than lament my lack of time spent here and at your wonderful sites, let me tell you about something new. “Yes, Preciousss, distracts them with something shiny!”
I mentioned last week that I had been given the honor of being one of the ‘fab five’ moderators for Lisa Snellings-Clark’s new Poppet Planet forum. The forum is a place for all things creative, including the chance to ask Lisa questions and learn about the technical aspects of her art. This weekend marks the Grand Opening of said forum and I want you all to come by, sample the wine and cheese, and add your conversational flare to the discussions going on.
The section I am moderating is called, The Machine. It is described as the section on ‘the world. Strange findings ‘out there’ that inspire us, infuriate us….”, which sounds quite perfect for me, doesn’t it? My inaugural post, 300 Sins and The Art of Violence, poses the question, Is Violence Art?.
I’d love for you to come over and share your thoughts on that subject as well as visit the other sections of Poppet Planet. Forums tend to scare some people away. I know that many of you who are internet savvy probably have no problem with forums. Those of you who are not, let me encourage you to not let the ‘non-blog’ format scare you. Being a part of the forum is a simple process. Just click the ‘register’ button, choose a username and password, and fill out the few required fields…and away you go! You need not register to read the entries, but I sure wish you would join us in what is sure to be an exciting community of artistic and creative discussion. I hope to see you there.

In the meantime, I haven’t abandoned Stainless Steel Droppings or all of you friends who I honestly cherish. My time travelings tell me that April will see me with the opportunity to return back to a more regular schedule of posting and visiting you. If you will just hang in there with me I will really appreciate it!
